Professional Association Advertising and Market Communication Industry, Austria 

Our trade association represents the interests of the Austrian advertising and marketing communication industry such as advertising and PR agencies, direct marketers, sponsoring agencies, market researchers etc. at both national and international level.

The association consists of the following bodies:

Our main tasks and activities include:

  • Information and advisory service to members:
    Issues include labour law, vocational training, industry-      specific legislation and taxation
  • Economic Promotion and Development as well as Training and Consulting
    are mainly organised by a specialised department in each region (WIFI Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut)


The association’s headquarters is situated in Vienna, Austria. Additionally, the regional associations have nine local offices all over Austria in order to provide services in close proximity to members.

With 23,100 members our association is the second largest trade association within the Information and Consulting Division of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Over the last 15 years, the total number of members has quadrupled. Hence, the advertising and marketing communication industry is among the fastest growing branches of the Austrian economy.

Over 73 percent of our members are one-man businesses without employees. Nonetheless, the industry accounts for approximately 40,000 employed persons.

Find the right Partners

 

The Professional Association Advertising and Marketing Communications Industry has launched a new initiative together with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, AUSTRIAN TRADE, the Professional Association for Audio-Visual and Film Industry and the PLATFORM creativ wirtschaft austria to intensify cooperation in the areas of advertising, film production and creative industries in Central and Eastern Europe.

The www.advantageaustria.org link can lead to interesting cooperative partners in the advertising, promotional film and creative industry branches in Austria. The Initiative starts in the following countries with the following links:

The service addresses companies, that plan to advertise in Austria as well as agencies, who are interested to cooperate with Austrian partners in these countries in the fields of advertising, PR, film or design. The aim is to link interested companies from both sides of the border.

Austrian companies are important investors in Central and Eastern Europe. That is why the project focuses on these particular markets. More and more Austrian agencies, film productions and members of creative industries accompany their clients in export business and are therefore looking for cooperative partners in these new medias.

www.advantageaustria.org serves as platform and Austrian Cooperative Partner’s databank for each country in the national language.

The initiative will also provide market reports on commercial communication in these countries and events, where interested partners can meet physically.
The first event will take place in Vienna on November 8th: the Euroforum:Communication 07 (www.euroforum2007.at).
